Eco Tan

Eco Tan made Australian history by becoming the first and only tanning company to be certified organic by the Organic Food Chain, under the Australian Government's organic and biodynamic standards. Not only are Eco Tan formulas completely natural but have over 70% certified organic ingredients in their tans.

"Our skin is our largest organ. A lot of what we put on it, absorbs into our blood stream... The food we choose to eat and the products we choose to use affect our health and quality of life. The last thing our bodies need is another source of synthetic and harmful chemicals found in many every day products," says Sonya Driver, who founded Eco Tan in 2010, after her sister was diagnosed with a melanoma. Still wanting a tan but without the potential risk from UV, they sought the next best thing and started having spray tans. However, she became concerned about the ingredients used and began researching the brands’ claims. It only took her a few minutes to decide not to use their products anymore.

After thousands of hours researching and formulating Sonya put together a solution she believes to be not only beautiful but safe and free from all things nasty and artificial. Eco Tan is made from natural cacao (chocolate), herbs, flower extract, fruit extract and chamomile. Since the colour is derived from cacao, it doesn’t contain green or orange tones. Eco Tan is for savvy women who love a natural, bronzed look but who care about what they wear on their skin, their health and wellbeing.
